Terms of use
Last updated 25 October 2026
These terms apply when you use theunibook.in or the Unibook Business app. Unibook is run by Eliyas Mathew, an individual based in Kochi, Kerala, India (“Unibook”, “we”). By using Unibook you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
What Unibook does
Unibook is a booking tool. It shows businesses’ services, prices and free times, and passes bookings between customers and businesses. The service itself, such as a haircut or a consultation, is provided by the business, not by Unibook.
Your account
- You log in with your mobile number and a one-time code. Use a number that is yours.
- Keep your phone and codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You must be 18 or over, or book with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Booking as a customer
- A booking is an agreement between you and the business. The business sets its prices, services and cancellation rules.
- Some businesses confirm bookings by hand, so a booking may show as pending until they do. A business may cancel a booking, for example if the staff member is unavailable.
- Unless the booking page says otherwise, you pay the business directly at your appointment.
- Please cancel in the app or on the website if you can’t make it, so someone else can take the slot.
- Questions about the service itself go to the business; its contact details are on its booking page.
Listing a business
- Keep your business details, services, prices and hours accurate and up to date, and only list a business you are allowed to represent.
- Honour the bookings you accept, and tell customers promptly if you need to cancel.
- Use customers’ details only to serve their bookings, and handle them lawfully. Don’t use them for unrelated marketing.
- Unibook is free during the launch trial. Business plans may later need a paid subscription; we will tell you the price and give you the choice before you are charged anything.
Fair use
Don’t misuse Unibook: no fake or spam bookings, no false or offensive business listings, no attempts to break, overload or copy the service, and nothing unlawful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Unibook running and accurate, but it is provided “as is”, and it may sometimes be unavailable or contain mistakes. To the extent the law allows, Unibook is not responsible for the services businesses provide, for disputes between customers and businesses, or for indirect losses such as lost earnings. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer law.
Ending your use
You can stop using Unibook at any time and ask us to delete your account (see deleting your account). We may close accounts that break these terms, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kochi (Ernakulam), Kerala have jurisdiction.
